About the Role: 

You will work across both the back-end and front-end parts of our products. This includes developing features and improvements for our customer data platform and enhancing our capabilities around personalization. You will collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, design, and sales to achieve common goals and deliver a world class user experience. 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop features and improvements for the CDP product in a secure, well-tested, and performant manner. 
• Analyze and interpret complex data to provide actionable recommendations for personalization strategies. 
• Collaborate with Product and other stakeholders within Engineering (e.g., Data) to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced, iterative environment. 
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance. 
• Solve technical problems of increasing scope and complexity. 
• Craft code that is standardized for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review. 
• Represent the CDP and its values in public communication around specific projects and community contributions. 
• Confidently ship small and medium features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects. 
• Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotations to assist with troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues. 
• Work closely with the marketing, data, and product teams to implement and optimize web and email solutions. 
• Monitor and ensure the quality and performance of web applications, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly. 
• Lead and participate in projects related to web development, ad targeting, and email services, including setting up new systems, migrating data, and improving existing processes. 
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for web and email-related issues, working with internal teams and external vendors as needed. 
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of web development processes, configurations, and best practices. 

Requirements: 

• Professional experience with WordPress and Node.js. 
• Professional experience with JavaScript and associated web technologies (CSS, semantic HTML). 
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and asynchronous work environment. 
• Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions. 
• Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems. 
• Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process. 
• Demonstrated ability to onboard and integrate with an organization long-term. 
• Positive and solution-oriented mindset. 
• Effective communication skills: Regularly achieve consensus with peers and provide clear status updates. 
• An inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility. 
• Experience owning a project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution.
